Pom Pom Project

Hey everyone! (and by everyone, I mean like two people, and anyone that may stumble upon this by mistake) Hope you had a great Christmas! It has definitely been awhile, but I have been collecting new/fresh ideas and trying to figure out exactly what I wanted to do here. Eventually the page will have a makeover and posting will be more frequent once I get into the swing of things.
But.... for right now, I am just going to share a fun DIY that can be done in no time... or an hour.

Anthropologie Tufted Wool WreathNow I know everyone has seen the pom pom wreath floating around Pinterest that is inspired by an Anthropologie wreath? Looks a bit like this:

SWOON. ok.
Well after repeatedly seeing it pop up and falling in love. I especially loved it on one of my favorite home blogs,  Dear Lilie. She had a DIY verson on her Christmas mantle... After stumbling around the internet for a tutorial, I finally decided to just wing it. So here is what I did:

1 foam wreath form
1 super large ball of yarn
ribbon
scissors
piece of cardboard 3 inches or so in diameter
hot glue

Start making balls by wrapping the yarn around the cardboard 70 or so times.. less if your yarn is thick.
then carefully slide off cardboard, carefull to keep looped. Wrap some yarn around middle of bundle, tie tight and cut all loops and fluff.. You can find so many tutorials on homemade pom poms. Repeat however many times you need to fill your wreath to desired fluffiness
I wrapped the lower part of wreath form in yarn and then glued pom poms around. For the bottom, I made a bow and hot glued. This was the finished product, and I did it all within an hour while my baby girl was napping. hallelujah!

Stay tuned for more DIY's, beauty faves, fashion looks, Recipes and FUN!!!!!!
Good to be back.
